El DeguelloWhat were these bullets shot into? I have only found 2 Nosler Partition bullets in a game animal. Neither had turned around. (The Nosler Partition is designed to lose the front core, so it looks like they performed correctly.....)

krakyCan you tell us a little more?? Was the velocity the impact velocity. If so I am impressed the barnes seems to hold togther so well and didn't lose a couple pedals. Otherwise the nosler partition is designed to be a bullet that holds about 60-65% of it's wt on a "tough Impact". As for the swift bullet...well....99% wt retention is what that bullet has always been about.

naja302I am surprised that the failsafe's all lost all their pedals and the barnes did not.

I would expect both bullets to retaint their pedals at that velocity.

raamwHere is another link to that article
http://www.gun-tests.com/performance/mar96premium.htmlthe important thing is how one bullet compared to the other I think the media is not the important thing in this comparison

fredj338You are right raamw, it's the comparison that matter. I test my hunting bullets in wetpack & it'sa good comparison fo how one bullet works against another. It's one reason I won't hunt w/ NBTs, they just come apart & penetration is shallow compared to a NP or even a Hornady Interlok.
