TC Norma at one time used "tri-clad" jacket material for their bullet jackets. The centre section was a mild steel core that was covered on both sides with a silver coloured gliding metal. Instead of folding back like the softer copper jackets the steel was intended to fold back at a right angle to the sides of the jacket. Later they started using a little plastic ball on the tip of the bullet similar to the Remington bronze pt and later the Nosler BT to prevent damage to the bullet tips in the magazine.
