I don't have near the experience you do Saeed but I bought the RCBS 1500 chargemaster and it beats the heck out of weighing each charge, which is how I started out. Haven't run a voluminous amount through it, but time will tell as to how dependable it is, so far so good.

This is the one I am using now, and it is great.

Its replacement, supposed to be faster, is totally, UTTERLY, useless!

You have to set so many things, and if they do not match, it does not work!

Designed by some tech imbecile who has no knowledge of reloading whatsoever.

And whoever approved it is no better either!

Charge Master working well for years.

I have the lyman-2.
let it warm up.
type in the weight I want, and push the enter button.

then push the button and seat a bullet.
repeat.


anything that needs a phone or more button pushing than that can stay right where it is.

I use two old Lyman Autoscales, each with a different powder, two Lyman Digital auto scales each with other powders and a single Lyman digital scale with trickeler attached. With this combo I can load four different powders soon or one at a time with another powder. I also have a dropper near by for .223 Rem powder and don't have to weigh each load. Just the way I do it for what it is worth. Good Shooting.

The matchmaster is supposed to be able to weigh to a finer degree of precision and is supposed to be able to do it faster than the older versions.

Because of this, it needs more user input.

I get it- if the scale device is constantly waiting for stabilization in the .0x's and using that to control dispense rates it will be too slow to function.

RCBS sells both. Use which one you think is better for you.

Personally, I have stuck with the chargemaster as well- I'm not a good enough shot to tell the difference in charges loaded to the tenth versus the hundredth on paper. (Although it will make your statistical numbers maybe look a bit better...)

Saeed, your results are good enough from what you show that I can't see where a better measure could improve things, although you certainly are good enough that if it does make a difference, you would be the guy here who could show it.

Fast and incredibly accurate, has cut my es down big-time for the long range stuff

I’ve been using an AutoTrickler for about 4 years now. Works great! When I’m loading 150 rounds for a weekend match it’s a huge help. Some coarse-grained powders are prone to overweight charges, but even that is only by about 0.04 grains. For most applications you could just accept it.

I have the Chargemaster Link. I'm not techy enough to use the bluetooth options, but just using it manually is many times better than the 50 some years that I weighed every charge on my balance scales.

I use the old RCBS. Wonderful piece of gear if your loading lots of ammo. It has always been accurate. I randomly check and it’s always spot on.
