Scout Master 54The .222 Rem is fine round. It's too bad it has been eclipsed by the .223. It will punch tiny groups in the right gun and sends ground hogs to meet their maker. My favorite load is 20.0g of IMR 4198, 50g Hornady SX, Federal Match Brass and CCI BR-4 primers. .55" from my old Remington 700 Varmit Master. I have tried other powders but keep coming back to 4198 as the most accurate for my gun.
Good Luck

Cal SibleyI have two rifles in .222Rem; a Rem40XBBR and a Sako Varminter and both seem to prefer IMR4198. I use mostly Sierra 52gr. HPBT in them but lately am finding that the Nosler 50 and 55gr. Bal. Tips do just as well. I get the odd good group, .2", from Reloder-7 and IMR4895 but again IMR4198 is better overall. It's one sweet caliber to shoot. Best wishes.

<Patrick_D>I use Nosler 50gr BTs. Have found 21.7 gr N130 works well for me - get around 3250 fps from a stock Sako 75. I have also heard a lot of good things about N133, but you will probably have to use compressed loads to get the best out of that powder.
