500NE- Primer sustitution?
My 500NE is currently regulated with RL15 and CCI Large Rifle Magnum primers. At the time I regulated it Fed 215M primers were unavailable. I now have some Fed 215M primers to use. I am sure primer sustitution will affect velocity/regulation, but I am not sure exactly how. Has anyone anyone here changed primers on a double rifle load? What were your results? Thanks, Russ Green.

Most people believe the Fed 215 to be hotter than the CCI. I don’t think it would be enough hotter to be dangerous it may mess with your regulation. This is where a chronograph is a valuable tool. I am hoping you have velocity data from the CCI load. Just start a little liter and see what the velocity is and adjust as required.
