a little different .308 info
popcorn .308 Mod. 98 w/ AB bull barrel, FC., cases, WLR primers, 14gr. 7625 powder.
  • 150gr. gas checked, oal=2.623" crimped, 1349 to 1408 fps. 7 shot 1" group @ 50yds. once rifle warmed up.

  • 110gr. plated Berrey bullet, oal=2.470 fps.1509 to 1539 fps. fair plinker.

  • 150gr. FMJ. Mil., 1252 to 1291 fps. great plinker.

  • 150gr. Plated Berrey bullet, oal= 2.586", 1148 to 1357 fps.10 shot 1" group at 50yds. 1 flyer an inch out.

  • 100gr. Speer plinker, oal= 2.463"1554 to 1597fps.great plinker

    Same rifle, rp cases, #34 primers, 23.5gr. 2400 powder,

  • 150gr. FMJ, golden west bullets, dirty, 2149 to 2172 fps. 3 shot 3/8" group @ 50 yds.,6 shot 3/4" group @ 50yds.,7 shot 1" group at 50 yds.

  • 168gr. FMJ. golden west bullet, 2083 to 2105 fps., great plinker.

    Thanks, thats good stuff and I will use some of that good info to make up some nice plinking loads and hey they should make some fun shooting for running desert Jack Rabbits.
