.338-06, Swift Sirocco II, 210 grain loads?
Gentlemen,

I am experimenting with loads for my .338-06. While there is information for Barnes 210 grn, Nosler 210 grn & Sierra 215 grn, I have been unable to find reloading data for Swift Sirocco II 210 grain. Can anyone help?

In the absence of actual data, I was going to follow the Hodgson reloading data for 215 grain Sierra as this is a fairly soft bullet and the Nosler Ballistic Tip 200 grain data as it is reasonably close in geometry to the Sirocco II - polycarbonate tip, lead core and not excessively thick, tapered copper jacket.

I haven't used the Scir in mine, but being more copper than gilding metal, I would load it like the Barnes & work up or down as needed. Most 338-06 are pretty forgiving, what works for one 200-215gr bullet will work for another w/ a little tweeking.

Well from a starting pressure stand point QL calls it about half way between the 210 part and the 210 barnes.

As usual just my $.02
