jrslate.303 British Loads
Does anyone here have a good 215 gr. load for the old .303, especially with Reloader 15 (since I have a big can of that)? I know the 180 gr. works great, but I really want to try the 215 gr. this year..
Thanks a lot !!

BFaucettRoss Seyfried did an excellent article on the .303 British and the .30-40 Krag in the March 2000 issue of Rifle Magazine. He specifically concentrated on the 215 gr (.303) and 220 gr (.30-40) loads. You can order a copy at the link below.

Bill LeeperI have never tried rl15 for this purpose and think it is a little fast for best performance. My favorite 215 gr load is 46 of IMR4350. This is a heavy load and you should start at about 43 and work up. I used this load in a #4 Lee enfield. The same rifle is now a 30/40 Krag and I use the same load with 220s. Works well. Bill/OregonJoel: I have been using 44 grains of Re 19 under the Boer 225-grain .312 softpoint for about 2,050 fps from a Mk III sporter. Not moving real fast, but takes a lot to stop it!

Could you please expand on the 303 to 30-40 conversion, what sort of numbers are possible with the 30-40 on an No4 Mk2 Enfield action? Did you re-barrel the action?
I am specifically interested in 200gr or heavier bullets.

snowmanJrslate I have found W760 or H414 to be very good in the 303 with 180 or 215 gr. Max with the 215 will be about 44 or 45 grs but start @ 41 and work up carefully.
