Does anybody, out in the big round world, have any loads for my old Drilling in caliber 9,3x72R. to share, please?

I have one, with a 200 grs Hawk bullet, but are interested in some loads for heavier bulet to if any are avaliable.

I did a "search" and found Loaddata!!!!

Enter 9.3 and you will find 6 different catagories.

Did I do that correctly??....$25.00 for load information ??? If so, it seems slightly exhorbitant (expensive, too).

In the caliber box, just type in:
9.3
It worked for me, free!

Please help.....every time I do this....I cannot get "charge" quantity of powder without signing my credit card over for a 25.00 fee.

I found one load for you in George Nonte's book on cartridge conversions. It shows a 200-grain bullet with 20 grains of SR4759 powder. Vel unknown. (I believe the original bullet weight for this round is 193 grains.)

As SR 4759 is No. 103 on Steve Ricciardelli's powder quickness chart, and H4227 is No. 104, I see no reason why you could not start with 20 grains of H4227 with a 200-grain bullet in that cartridge, unless you have or can find some SR 4759. This round should not be a whole lot different to load for than the .38/55 Win. case. Stick to low pressure/low vel. loads!

Hmmm! I thought SR4759 had been discontinued, but I see the IMR web site still shows it, so I guess you can get some!

Sorry, I do not load for the 9.3x72R. But I did some research and first tests for a 9.3x57R/360 or .360 2 1/4 Express, quite a similar cartridge.

Do you have access to RWS powders? The RWS handbook has several loads.

In what shape is your drilling, and is it nitro-proofed? RWS had different loads in the past, a very moderate one at around 600 m/s with 193 grain bullet, and a stronger load, around 680 m/s, "only for stout guns in good shape".

Bullets: stay away from heavy jacketed .366 bullets for the 9.3x62 etc. The 9.3x72R needs the proper thin-jacketed 193 grain bullet, or lead bullets. I do not know the Hawk bullets.
