SIMPLEX reloading dies...
Dear Gentlemen,
Does anybody here have any experience with the Austrailian SIMPLEX reloading dies? They have a quite impressive line of English big bore dies.

We use a couple of Simplex sets. They are comparable to RCBS and Lyman dies. Most parts and threads for decapping pins and seater plugs are the same as either RCBS or Lyman. They are packed in blue plastic boxes somewhat more fragile than other makes except Lee and their top of the line dies are in hinged wooden boxes that are very nice. We have a 577-450 die set boxed in wood.

Dear Husky,

are those Simplex dies available here in Sweden? If they are, where?

Bert regards,

Gerard,
Thank you for the information about SIMPLEX dies but also about the book "Hunting Africa -a practical guide" that you hinted me where to find via the web some months ago. I didn't go to RSA this fall but i am planning to go next year (Cape Town and Centurion Lake). Hope i will be able to get some days vacation then and why not go to Port Elisabeth!

Fritz, the SIMPLEX are not aviable in Sweden as far as i know, but i think i will order a set of 9,3x62 from them via "The AMMODUMP" in Australia,(try Yahoo etc -they are on the web). AMMODUMP have good prices on Woodleigh bullets to if you are interested.

I bought a set of 10,75 x 68 simplex-dies from Ammodump along with Woodleighs and brass last year. Service-minded people and good prices.
Dropped a moose with the 400 grs Woodleigh a month ago. Made me happy.

Mr. Husky,

I've been using Simplex dies to load for my .375H&H, and have been very pleased with them. One thing I've noticed is much more consistent bullet seating with the Simplex dies, than with Hornady's In-Line seating dies. Wonder why...

Otto P.

Hi,
Thank you all for the information!
It seems that they know what they are doing "Down under".

I consider that the German Triebel reloading dies are the best! I have a set for my .404 Jeffery -but Triebel has a very high price.
