North Fork .416 recipes
I met the reloading international folks at Dallas Safari earlier this year, and I ended up buying a quantity of North Fork .416 400 grain bullets in semi spitzer and percussion point. Does anyone have any favorite recipes they've developed for these bullets? I'm trying to develop one or more loads that would be appropriate for nilgai. Any tips are appreciated.

Buy a reloading book, $1,75 to $9,00 cost. shoot the bullets at 2300 to 2400 fps with the book velocity quotes. there are a bucket full of different loads that fit your request. Great bullets btw

I used the Northfork soft and solid both 370 grain to anchor my Buffalo in the Selous through my Model 70 African in .416 Rem. Both bullets performed perfectly, I recovered the soft after it traversed the Buff from hip to neck bone and lodged there where the first rib was attached. It still had 91% of its weight. It collapsed with first shot the soft and then got up and I put the solid through both shoulders, it fell again and got up for 5 seconds then was down for good. Good Shooting.
