NEJackAccurate Arms 2230 powder and a .223
At the suggestion of an old fellow at the gun range, and started using a new load for my .223.
25 grains of AA2230 with a 55 grain VMAX, and all I can say is WOW! My little Savage is shooting dime sized groups at a 100 yards, and my RRA Varmit is also. I never had a load that was good in both at the same time.
Just wondering if anyone else has experience with this powder.

vapodogI've used BL(C)-2 and had the same results.....I used 27.5 grains with either a 50, 52, or 53 grain bullet and at one time all six of my .223 rifles shot them under MOA.

djpaintlesI've shot several pounds of 2230 with 24.3grs and a 69gr SMK. It's shot great in a number of AR-15's.
2230 was made for the 223 after all........DJ
....Remember that this is all supposed to be for fun!..................
If you think AA 2230 is good, try this.
http://www.natchezss.com/product.cfm?contentID=productDetail&prodID=AA2230C8It's just a tad slower than 2230, but is a lot cheaper. I've got 16 pounds of this stuff, and I intend to get more. billt

The acc2230-C is proving to be a good contributer to accuracy in .222,.223.22-250,.257 Roberts, and the .270. There are a number of other cartriges we're using it in but these come to mind.
It appears that acc.73 , which is
A Tad faster than 2230 could be the real ecconomic sweet heart. The evaluation is not complete but it looks good.

I am having excellent results with AA2230 in my 7.62X39. Kinda slow but very accurate. Hey Roger, what is acc.73? Just a tad faster than AA2230 is just what I am looking for.
Thanks

Well this is a real kick in the slats

I just got off the phone with powder valley where I bought the acc73 and they are sold out and being told there will be no more.

You might check to see if accurate powders has any left or will be getting more. I have 16# but was looking to stock more before it was gone. You might try WCC844 from HI-TECH AMMUNITION.Sorry
