Ackley Improved UserActual CHE & PRE Data + Fabricated M43 info.
Larry,
Thanks for the offer to share data. There's no rush. I'll look forward to seeing your data.
I'm especially interested at what PSIs you begin to see CGEs that correlate with primer pocket loosening - hopefully in a 30-06 type case.
Regards, AIU

I will try to keep it too short to trigger nausia:
1) The same ammo would make different pressures in different guns.
2) Calibration ammo is not from NIST, and is fraught with out of control variables.
3) If the pressure could be known in a chamber, it would be of little use to the advanced hand loader. The effect on the brass is what counts.
What does it all mean?
Calibration ammo may be a necessary evil for someone selling ammo, but pretty silly for an advanced handloader.

6mmBR SAAMI [not registered], max load for no primer piercing in a strong rifle with handloader work up 80,000 psi
True no SAAMI spec`s on either but CIP picked up on the 6MM BR. Sadly the 30 BR is still a step child.

Pmax - 4050 bar
PK - 4658 bar
PE - 5060 bar
From Pg 72
http://www.poliisi.fi/intermin...DE/$file/TABIcal.pdfSorry I`m too lazy to look up a "bar to psi" formula for ya tonight...

Do you think that silly low pressure 6mmBR Rem CIP registration is revenge for the silly low pressure 8x57mmMauser SAAMI registration?
