Tumbling Various Cal. Brass
Just an idea . . .

Has anyone put brass in a heavy plastic "freezer" bag with media and tossed it in the tumbler with other similar bags with different caliber/lots of brass?

I'm trying to figure out a way to tumble various lots of brass at the same time without mixing together and sorting out later. This would be a nice trick if you have brass in lots, all the same caliber, sorted by case weight, headstamp, or number of times fired.

I just buy more smaller, cheaper tumblers. Midway has a sale every once in a while, and other than noise they work as well as any.

Lyman sells some mesh bags that hold brass separate in the tumbler just for that purpose. They are different colors. They work quite well and seem to last forever.

You can put the brass in netbags to keep them apart.
