N E 450 No2With 500gr bullets Barnes shows its highest velocities with IMR 4350, IMR4831, H4831, and RL-19.
Hornady shows IMR4350 as giving the highest velocity with their 500gr.

<Per577>With Bell Mast tech. cartridges,,you could load the .460 Wby as high as 130 gr. and RL-19 ,,i think !!

<Per577>Well, i should not recommend that load,,but the .460 case is bigger than Lazzeronis .475 Bibamufu,,and Lazzeroni load theirs to 2800 fps with the 500 grain bullet. I think the brass Lazz. use,,are Bell Mast tech,,and are really the best.I think the .460 loads with RL-19,is at it's most with 126 gr,,doing some 2587 fps. But with a stronger action than the Mark V...(if that's possible),and Bell Mast cartridges in .460 Wby,,you could load much harder,,adding 4 gr. and hit well beyond 2700 fps !!
I can't understand how Lazzeroni e-mails me himself and says he gets 2780 fps with 500 barnes-X easily,,in his .475 Bibamufu,,sideproject. The case is smaller than a .460 which does 2600 fps,,and maxes out on 2650 !
My answer is therefor case strenght, and action combi,,makes such differences even tough the case is smaller,,and both Wby and Lazzeroni load stiff. Especially Lazzeroni,,if that's true...( 2780 fps@500 gr.Barnes-X,,terrific loooong bullet).Help me out !

Since the case is like a small wastepaper basket, wouldn't about anything work??
