Probably teh worst brass I have ever seen was made by Bertram.
We had some for the 585 Nyati, and the necks on those cases was twice as thick on one side as the other.
I would not buy it again.

I have a hunch it will work harden to better brass!!
I suggest if you are crumpling cases that you need to do one of two things, turn 3 or 4 thousands off your expander button or re-set your die (back off a turn or two)...I normally take several thousands off all my expander buttons so as not to have to use a crimp...Other than that I would take a chamber cast of my rifle and my dies and compare...As an after thought oversize bullets such as Hawk will also crumple cases.
I had this problem in the 404 Jefferys with Hawk bullets. I sent them back and the returns at one thousands smaller supposedly were the same size according to my calipers, so I just went back to Woodleighs. I returned the Hawks and traded them for some 175 gr. .035 7mm's and blew one of them up on the spine of a deer...Gave up at that point on the Hawks..the point being that their are a lot of varibles in handloading and you must find the cause to find the cure...

Huh ?
I have a local source here in the next city with a whole crate of the last RWS factory-loaded 10,75 x 68. Since I shall probably travel to the USA in September, are you interested, Ray ?
