HublockerWeight of H4350 in Lee scoop # 167?
I've got an old Lee Loader for 6.5x55 but I have none of the powders listed on the chart that came with it. I do have H4350 and H4831SC though.
It came with Lee scoop #167
I was wondering if anyone knows how I can find out what a full scoop of H4350 weighs in #167.
What about H4831SC?

Ol` Joe http://www.leeprecision.com/cg...instruct/Dippers.pdfYou`ll have to weight the dipper to find out what charge weight you`re getting. Lee quit offering those dippers years ago and went to dippers marked by volume in CC instead of just a random number set. The old dipper set I have doesn`t list H4350 as a powder option but does include IMR4350. I don`t believe the hodgdon version was available at the time your dipper was made.

HublockerI found that thanks, but I have an old Lee kit and it doesn't say which of the scoops on the chart you provided corresponds to the old #167 dipper.

N E 450 No2I recommemd you buy a powder scale.
It does not have to be an expensive one, just a basic scale.
You and I might have a different technique and our charges from the same lee dipper might be different.
When I was in college I used lee dippers to load 44 Mag and 264 Winchester mag with perfect results. However my charges were not MAX, so a grain or so difference would not make a dangerous difference.
The 264 loads shot under and inch using the dipper.
I loaded the 44's on a Lyman tong tool and the 264's with a Lee loader.
