Does anyone know of a .264 hunting bullet between 105 gr and 115 gr? I've been on the net for a week and can't find one. In the event there is no such animal does anyone have experience with the 108 gr Lapua Scenar on deer? Thanks

I`m not aware of a hunting bullet other then varmit in the wgt range you are looking for. Why not drop 8 grains to a 100 gr Nosler partition, or go up a couple to a 120 if you are looking for a light wgt hunting bullet?

Thanks Joe, Thats what I'll probably do if I can't find something in between. This is for a 6.5 PPC and it seems to me that 110 grs would be optimun for the case size. Anyone have any hunting experience with the 108 gr Lapua Scenar? I don't won't to start another "Match King for hunting" thread but that weight sure looks good for the case size.

There is also the 107 grain Sierra Match bullet that would be more readily available.

Nosler's Seconds shop, which is listed on their web site, something like Shooters Pro Shop, I have gotten some partitions which are made for the Euro Market. They are a 105 grain Semi Spitzer. I sure wish they were available as a stateside offering. They really perform in a 260.

Otherwise the 100 grain Partition of the 100 grain Ballistic tip are very accurate. I have also seen good performance on deer with the Sierra 100 grain HP, and the Hornady 100 gr SP.

Of course Oregon Black Tail are mostly like shooting a long legged Dobermann. I think a kid that is good with a sling shot and has one of his sister's jacks, could probably take one with that combo. I miss those 250 pound Northern Minnesota and Wisconsin White tails.

I appreciate the info Seafire. I'll try the Nosler website again. I'm working a contract in Colombia and my oldest son is working up the loads for me. He got some pressure signs with the 120 gr Seirra at 2600 fps and backed off, now getting 2500 fps. I know that's enough for our Texas whitetails (about the size of your blacktails) but I would feel more comfortable if I was getting 2750 with a lighter bullet. I may have to go to the 100 gr partition.

There is a guy out of texas who is selling GS bullets out of South Africa I believe .264 and 110grains. Don't have any idea about price, but I am sure they are spendy.

I have heard good things about their performance, but have never tried them personally.

Well i just checked again and it looks like I was mistaken, they are 95 grains. Sorry about that but they might be worth a look. I seem to recall them making a 110 but I might be completely wrong.
