300 WSM and Elk, Bears, Moose, Etc.
Just thought some of you fellows would be interested in my latest results.

Browning A-Bolt, Composite Stalker, 23"bbl

200gr Barnes X
WLRM Primers
68gr Reloader 19
Win brass

Average over 15 rounds 2927 fps, 5, 3 round groups ave 1.1 inches. Bolt gets sticky at 68.5gr.

This is going to be an awesome round for any large critters in this small rifle.

There is an article on my website about the 300 WSM you may want to read.

www.rifleshooter.com

A friend of mine just greased a 7X5 monster bull elk with the 180 Power-Point last week. Dropped it in its tracks, used a Brownong Abolt Stalker

Nice Web site, but the story about the hunt with the .300 WSM is the "same old thing," just a writer advertising a gun. He could have accomplished the same thing with a .300 WM.

As for the .300 WSM? Yes, it is another nice cartridge.

Thanks for the compliment about the site Ray. I appreciate it, new to the free internet site thing.

My friend who wrote that wasn't advertising, he just really likes the cartridge.

Yes that is a really nice site. It looks like it may have some promise in the future as well.

Sorry about that, Bill. I didn't know it was your friend who wrote the article.

Most gun magazines have articles about "new" guns, and these articles are just advertisements for the gun industry. I thought the article mentioned above was just another one.

No problem Ray. I know what you mean about those articles.

That is why I like sites like accurate reloading, aside from the occasional infomercial it is a pretty nonbiased discussion of the topics.
