Stainless steel pins??
I made my own set up to wet tumble cases with the stainless steel pins and was wondering how much pins to put in. My container is 4" x 8" and holds roughly 56 ounces of water.
I will fill it half way with cases (in this instance they are .223), a 9mm case of Lemi Shine and a squirt of Dawn so how much steel pins? I have a five pound bag already. Thanks for any advice.

Ten or more years ago I got brass from a guy that used #9 steel shot, Dawn soap and a thousand or more cases per batch in an old cement mixer.

Prettiest brass Iv'e ever seen, beat factory new by many times.

I run my first load of .223 last night for about 2 hours with the above information and man was I surprised in the difference from my old crushed Walnut shell method. Even the most grundgy military range pick up brass came out looking fantastic. I am a new convert to the stainless steel pin method.

I used to use BB's and a drop of Dawn dishwashing soap an a couple cups of water..

I got tired of the hassle of case drying and switched back to walnut hulls.

I went a little crazy cleaning cases, I cleaned a lot of 223 cases, 357 mag cases, 45 Colt cases 9mm cases and a couple thousand 45 acp cases. As hot as it's been I laid the cases out on the back porch (cement) and they dries in 15 minutes or less. I only ran one batch through my 7 tier dehydrator. Now they are all so pretty I need to load them and go shooting, the vicious circle starts again. Man I love this wet pin tumbling, easiest thing in the world to do.
