2400 in .308 data
.308 all loads had 26.7 gr 2400, LC 74 cases, WLRM primers.Strong gusting wind left to right.Adams Bennet Barrel Shooting was at 50 yds. I would consider the last 2 loads just a little over what should be considered max. in my rifle.I would approach these loads with caution.

Although I an not all that familar with a .308 I can't imagine that 2400 is an appropriate powder for it, especially in the heavier bullets. Seems to me that it is way too fast.

I agree with B. Beyer, especially with that 168. gr. bullet. That load is an accident waiting to happen.

You are proably right ,Bob. sofa These are not recommended loads as such. What it does indicate is that somebody has been there and here are the results. I only included the 150 gr. and 168 gr. to approach the limits and I think I came close but not as close as Clark would have gotten. Eekerroger

I used a .308 for a very limited time shooting B.R. and found that VV 140 worked as well and a little better then most. VV powder is not always easy to come by, but there are numerous loads for the .308 in almost any loading manuel. My experience with the ctg. is entirely with light [112 to 125 gr. bullets] so a recomendation from me would not be appropriate. Good luck.
