Custom FL sizer needed
OK having a senior moment can't find nor remember the source I'm looking for.

I have a nice set of custom dies made by Hornady for one of my wildcats. Since it was made from fired brass the neck was cut for that thickness of brass. Now I find with the brass I'm using I don't get enough neck tension. (Yes before you ask I've pulled the deprimer assembly and still not go) I did a work around and modified a lee die to give me the tension I need. But now have to resize twice. So simply need a resizer to fit my new brass.

Who is doing that work now?

That was what I thought but couldn't find a reference on their site.

Went and looked for the 3rd time and found it.

Thanks

No brand new brass. The dies were set up using 380Howell factory brass. I elected to go with a longer case and switched to Howell basic. Can't remember the difference off the top of my head but the neck on the basic is simply thinner. Maybe because it is drawn longer during manufacture.

Anyway got a couple cases in a padded envelope waiting for my next run to town.

You mention the deprimer assembly being pulled, not sure what that is..but have you tried removing the expander ball, or turning the expander ball down. Only if the die neck is too small can it be reamed out, otherwise you need a new die body in that you can't add metal to the die..If you need to ream it out, Dennis Olson will soften the metal and rechamber the dies to work, then harden..Cost is $25.00 last one he did for me.

I was having a senior moment. I removed the expander and still did not have enough tension. The brass is simply too thin works fine with the shorter thicker brass. I have sent cases off for a new die. Should no longer be an issue.
