<sustain>GS Custom Bullets
I want to purchase some of the HV bullets for my .223, .308, and .338WM but before I decided on which ones I was hoping for some feedback on what to expect. I found several references to these bullets on this board and so wanted to see what feedback I could get. It's not like they are right down the street from me.
Could you tell me what velocities I might be looking at for the following selections and possibly powder recomendations? ANy experience?
50g and 60g bullets for my .223 Ar15
150g, 160g, and 173g bullets for my .308
180, 200, 225g bullets for my .338 Winchester Magnum.
Thanks
Bill

AtkinsonI have used them a bit now and really like them so far...
50 in 22
150 in 308
225 in 338
that would be my choice...

<Don G>Gerard likes the 130 grain(!)HV for the 308 Win. I think the 150 gr. HV is recommended for the 30-06 and up.
In general these HV and FN bullets are long for caliber so you should pick lighter than normal bullets. In regular bullets I like 165 or 180 grain for the 308.
Gerard will make specific recommendations if you tell him the cartridge and twist rate. The technical data charts on his web site have twist rates and velocities, too.
