Chamber Length Measurement
I would like to measure the chamber length in my .375 Weatherby to see if I need to trim. Sinclair offers chamber length gauges but the largest is .338.

Is there another method of measuring?

Thanks

You may make a chamber cast with Cerro-Safe from Brownells. Or, cheaper, medical "Flowers of Sulphur" powder, drug stores have it for cheap.

It is difficult to measure the neck of a casting with any precision but you don't need that, within 5 thou is close enough and that's easy to measure on the casts.

Best solution, if you have friend who has a lathe, is to simply turn a Sinclair type plug to set in a case and then measure the chamber lenght from that. Making the plug is about as easy as any machining can be done!

Actually, I'll turn one for you if you would like, no charge. Send me a PM.
