Daniel MHello
Here is what I have from differnt sources
Daniel
Finally made it out to the range today with the 9.3x64 and the cronograph. At 15 degress, it was a cold finger day.
Brass was all RWS, primers all CCI 200, bullets all Nosler 286 grain partitions seated to the cannelure and 2 powders were used, RL15 and H-4350. Chrono was at 15 feet.
RL15 results:
65 grains, 5 shots, 3 readings 2449, 2483, 2439 fps.
66 grains, 5 shots, 3 readings 2510, 2517, 2537 fps.
66.5 grains, 5 shots, 4 readings 2560, 2521, 2587, 2567 fps.
Maybe a litte more room here.
H-4350 results:
67 grains, 3 shots, 2 readings 2366, 2372 fps. Low recoil - should probably have started higher.
68 grains, 3 shots, 1 reading 2403 fps.
69 grains, 3 shots, 1 reading 2463 fps.
70 grains, 3 shots, no readings but likely about 2500 fps.
Room for a little more here.
No pressure signs with any load.
Max load with noslers 286grs, is 77grs of norma 204, and federal 215 primers. velocity is 820m/s. OAL is 91mm.
215 primers give better accuracy with this heavily compressed load, and nearly 100fps more velocity. pressure is fine, could have used another grain or two if I did not run out of space.

All are loaded to 3.350 overall length to feed through a Mauser. I've
yet to find a 9.3X64 chamber that you can seat very close to the leade,
but it doesn't seem to make much difference, they still shoot well.
Here are a few loads:
270 gr. Speer 76 gr. IMR4350 2592 fps
270 gr. Speer 75 gr. R19 2350 fps
250 gr. Barnes Original 75.5 gr. R-19 2461 fps
250 gr. Cast LBT 68 gr. R-19 2360 fps
250 gr. Barnes X 75.5 gr. R-19 2514 fps
250 gr. Barnes X 76 gr. R-19 2460 fps
250 gr. Barnes X 76.5 gr. R-19 2525 fps
250 gr. Barnes X 68 gr. R-15 2799 fps*
250 gr. Barnes x 66 gr. H4895 2689 fps*
The last 2 loads, marked "*" are MAXIMUM loads. Besides being hot, they
hurt the shoulder and are not suitable for dangerous game due to the
longer recovery or "second shot" factor.
The 68 gr/R-15 load, along with the 75.5 gr/R-19 loads have really low
velocity spreads of only 6.
My preference is for the 75.5 gr/R-19 load. It seems to work well and is
accurate with all 250-270 grain bullets (I'm talking under 2" groups). I
did work up loads for another, like yours, with a Walther barrel built
by John Cloward and it preferred 75 gr./R-19. Maybe a tighter bore? Who
is building yours? All shooting was at 60 to 70 degrees, so all except
the "maximums" should be safe to use anywhere in the world, despite high
temperatures.
Nick Harvey suggests 67-71 gr. WW-760 with 250 grain bullets, and it
may also be an ideal powder for this caliber. I know it's the best in
the 9.3X62, giving good accuracy plus velocity, but much more recoil
than other powders.

grizI have a custom lightweight mauser action with a stainless 22" barrel and synthetic stock.286 nosler cci200 64grs IMR4895@2520fps
270gr speer cci200 66grs 4895 2660fps
270gr speer cci200 75grs 4350 2610fps
286 nosler cci200 74grs IMR 4350 2540fps
people say they get a 286 at 2700fps but I can't come close!I will say the 286 nosler at 2500 drops moose like lightning!
