404 Jeffery Die Set
Hello all, I am looking for a good 404 Jeffery die set. I have contacted Hornady, Redding and RCBS. Anyone have any experience with these brands before I make my purchase? I have a CZ Safari Classic Rifle.

I have the 404 set from RCBS and use them for my loads in a Heym rifle. Excellent dies...I can highly recommend them.

I recently bought a set of Redding 404j dies, my first set of Redding dies. Mine came with allen wrench and extra decapping pin. I really like this set of dies and would recommend them. Have always used RCBS dies(have 11 sets).

Redding informed me it would take 4 months or so to ship me the die set. Hornady is about $250 but i need to ship them a spent case, and get the reamer info from the gun manufacturer.

Mine are Redding, I have no complaints.

Eurocentric,

Mine are Reddings as well & they work fine. Also a hint the Lee Factory Crimp die in 416 Rem will work with a 404J as well.

Check out if Grafs have any more in stock. That is where I got mine off the shelf(but a couple of years ago now) & a lot cheaper than anywhere else.

Mine are RCBS and I have been using them since 1972 with full satisfaction.

Curious why you ordered two sets?

Never know when you need them, and I plan to use all three just out of curiosity.

I have the Redding's as well. Order them from Graf's. Had them in about three days. Haven't used them yet since my rifle is still being made, but they look to be excellent dies.

30+ years experience tells me that perfection hit at .264. Others are adequate but anything before or after is wishful thinking.

I am very impressed by CH4D's three-die set as well.
