Expensive 470 NE Trim Die
I checked with Huntington's about a trim die for a 470 NE. They want $140.00 and a waiting period of 4 weeks to 5 months. Anybody have any other suggestions?. Have been thinking of getting the Forster Classic 50. Any thoughts?.

Try CH4 dies I have just purchased a trim & file die for my impending .585 Nyatti and it cost me $182.00 Aus$ which means about probably $70 to $90 US$.

I use my RCBS case trimmer.
I turned up a button for the case mouth and a small tool which I slide into the shellholder on the opposite side. This tool face sits flush with the shell holder and has a primer size pocket nub which locates in the primer hole.
I put the de-primed case in place and slide the cutter into place and hold the case while turning the handle and trimming the case.
I do my 500ne, a 416 rimmed and a 470ne and have not had a problem.
It is quick and easy and costs nothing.
Your local machine shop or buddy with a lathe can turn one out in about 20 minutes, tops.

500Grain,

What is you source for cleaning supplies for your 470 NE stuff. I have a hard time finding bore-brushes, mops, pathes etc. for the .475 cal. Any ideas?. I have been using .50 cal brushes and 12 ga patches. But was wondering if anyone out there make stuff for .475 cal?.

I use a turned down 50 cal jag for the 470, and the rest I use 50 cal mops and brushes. I tried everywhere but there does not seem to be any commercial kit for the 470.
I know there is a company making custom kits here in South Africa, if you want I will look them up and send you the details.
In US$ terms they will be very reasonable I think.

I recently purchased the Forster classic 50 for my 470 reloading. It is a real nice trimmer, and costs about $70.
