260 Rem - H4350/125 gr. Partition
Anyone got some results from this combo?

I am got a couple boxes of 125 gr. Noslers on the bench, and two m700's that need loads for deer season. H4350 has been a good powder for me, but I have never used it in the 260, and I have also never loaded the 125 gr. Partitions.

Anybody have the latest Nosler manual and could you post the MAX load for 125/h4350? I would be much appreciative.

thanks in advance

Todd, try the web site: http://www.hodgdon.com/data/rifle/260rem.php
I have tried 120gr w/ H4350, but find RL19 a bit better.

tb,
Nosler for the #5 Manual didnt test H4350 in the 260 Rem. I'm with Fred...every case that Ive tried both in RL-19 proved more accurate and BTW Nosler claims that it was the most accurate of nine powders they tried under the 120 grain BT and the 125Part.

tod,

Hodgdon data for the 260 shows the max load for H-4350 to usually be 1g above the max load for H-414. The Nosler manual lists the max load for the 125g Partition using H-414 to be 45.0g (2,973fps) and Hodgdon lists that max load as 43.0g (2,852fps). The max load for H-4350 would be between 44.0g and 46.0g (Hodgdon lists 44.3g at 2,867fps).

I tried H-4350 with teh Sierra 120g Pro Hunter last weekend with great results in my 260 AI (min spec reamer so capacity no much over the standard 260). 45.5g of H-4350 averaged 2,955fps out of my 22" barrel. Extreme spread was 13 fps on my last 5 shot group. Here is the first 3 shot group of that charge weight:

Second 3 shot group was identical.

I guess every rifle is an individual but I would think H-4350 would work great with the 125g Partition. Nosler shows RL-19 obtaining 7 fps more than H-414 with the 125g Partition and I'll bet H-4350 does just as well since Hodgdon shows H-4350 15fps ahead of H-414.
