The Ammomaster is just to big sometimes when loading stuff like 357's, 44's, etc.
Been thinking of adding a second press on the edge of my bench for handgun rounds.

All feedback about this little press would be appreciated. It would not be used for rifles with the exception of maybe .223's

The Partner is certainly adequate for handgun ammo and any seating operation, but it's not one that would be my first choice for sizing bottlenecked cases. My pick is the Redding Boss. Small, substantial, and better quality construction.

I've loaded 7RMs and .300WMs with mine w/o a problem. I have two and they do a good job for me. The space between the shell holder and the bottom of where the die screws in is 3.75".
It might be ackward if you load for some of the big Weatherby magnums but for standard length magnums, the work fine.

I grew up loading on a RCBS Jr that I don`t think is really much stronger or larger then the partner. It`s worked for cartridges up through the 30-06-8x57 sized cases, never showing a hint of flex, and never gave me a problem with FL sizeing or extracting a case.
I think the partner will do just fine with small bottle neck and straight walled pistol sizeing as long as a good lube is used.

I have a Partner press set up at my cabin just for loading my six and five-gun rounds. From 32 H&R to the 500 Linebaugh it works just fine.

Snowwolfe; the partner is certinly what these folks say it is. but I think that you would be much happier with something a bit larger,such as an RCBS rock chucker or a Jr3 The rock chucker for one, has been around for years and can be found used at gun shows.

I guess I was not clear in my original posting but there is already an RCBS Ammomaster set up on my bench but the handle travel stroke is so long it quickly becomes a chore when loading a bunch of handgun rounds. This is why I decided to mount a second, smaller press.
Picked up the Partner press today at Sportsman Warehouse for $71.

Your light press should do you fine. I have a friend who uses his to load up to .338. It isn't a cast iron press so you can't stand on the lever without breaking the thin mounting base but use a good lube, well applied and you should have no problems.

I use my press to size 30-30 brass, and also to seat bullets on everything I load for. I havent tried to size bigger cases with this press.

Returned the Partner press today. Decided to add a Forster Co-Ax instead. The Ammomaster will be used on all the long rounds (9,3x74, 450 NE, etc) and the Forster for everything else.
