I use the 4895's, H380, RL15, 40 to 60 gr bullets, Fed GM resized 308's, Fed and Rem brass and benchrest primers. I start seating testing at 0.025 off lands.
So far just about any load you find in the rifle section works fine. Think of the XP as a real SHORT rifle. Chase down some of the Contender sites and checkout the Single Shot Pistol section of this site, they are good folks and have some very good data available.
As always, each toy is an individual. Pick out a bullet or two you would like to use - I like Berger, Hornady, Nosler and Sierra. Get some good brass, Norma or Lapua comes to mind. I like Hodgdon, Accurate Arms, and Alliant ball powders but saying that will liable to start a HooHa here, and I use Fed Gold Metal match primers for most of my calibers. Go through the steps to accurize the brass and you should do fine.
There is a wealth of information available on this site, use the search function to chase down specific information, i.e., trimming, turning, weighing, bullet and case runout accurate loading, and other information you might find usefull. Then start doing what all reloaders do to get where we want to go.
Enjoy your XP, I really enjoy mine.
Oh by the way, get rid of that nasty, ugly, worthless, my-ex-wife looking plastic, shi- colored brown, who-ever-though-that-up-should-be-nutted original stock and get ANY other replacement, that is unless you have the Rem Custom stock them you're all right.
Watch out for the Ratz.
