What are any of the Grendel fans using for load data. Any bullet weight up to 140 grains.

The latest bullet company manuals now have good 6.5 Grendel data. Hodgdon and Accurate Arms powder companies have good data on-line. Alexander Arms has a good loading reference:

I only load Hornady 123 gr. A-Max or now the A-Max replacement the 123 ELD Match and the Hornady 123 SST. I also shoot some Sierra 123 bthp's all using Accurate Arms 2520 powder, RP 7 1/2 primers, in Hornady or Lapua brass. Several highly recommended powders. Best bullet weights are from 95 to 129 gr. maximum weight.

123-gr A-Max/28.0-gr 2520/Rem 7 1/2. Safe in my rifle. Very accurate.

A couple of years back I bought an 8 pound jug of AA2520 and with minimum loads it showed over max pressures in 3 different rifles, So I haven used it much!

Load Corredtion: Rechecked my notes. The 123-gr A-Max/28.0-gr 2520 load uses a Winchester Small Rifle Primer, not a Remington 7 1/2. I remember a lot of things but not always at the right moment.

Worked up to 30.8 grains of BLC(2) under the 123 gr. AMAX with the CCI 400 primer. Cartridge OAL 2.3. Nicely accurate in my Mini Howa bolt gun no sign of pressure. Near 2500 fps as far as I can extrapolate from manual data. I also worked up to 31.0 grs of CFE 223 with the same components, so far not so good. Maybe need to go up a bit more. I will say when changing back to BLC(2) I should have cleaned the barrel of the CFE residue, took almost 20 rounds to settle back down.

120gr Sierra and AR-comp 25-26 gr. in a Mini-Mauser. 27gr and the groups opened up.

Well I found the HOWA stock to be a bit too wiggly to use with a bipod and it seems this was the problem with trying to get groups better than MOA. I know picky picky. However I put a piece of bicycle innertube between the forend and barrel and then a wrap of Gorilla duct tape around the forend and barrel. Torqued the stock bolts to 40 on my wrench. Instant difference! .6 groups happen with all above listed loads. I tried LeverEvolution and worked up to 31.0 grains under the 123 gr. AMAX using a CCI450 primer. Tackdriver! Three touching three three shot groups in a row. This on one of the long style eared bags. Will maybe test the bipod again but since I don't use one hunting maybe not. Hopefully soon a fat feral hog will allow me to test an AMAX on his test media.

A word on the Hornady brass, excellent stuff! I have shot the same 20 pieces of brass 6 times now including the firing of the factory load that came in them. Pockets still tight and the cases have stretched only .006 still under max length.
