glockmeister71What weights will work well in a 243 w/1 in 10" twist?
Hey guys. What weight projectiles will work well with a 243 w/1 in 10" twist.I'd like to be able to use 55gr BT's,but I have my doubts.

seafire/B17G55 grain Ballistic Tips to 105 grain Speer SPs...
ya need a one in 9 for a 107 grain match bullet and maybe a 105 grain A max in some barrels...
but a one in 10 will shoot the other available weights just fine.....between those two weights listed above...
cheers

1894mk2I agree with Seafire up to a point. My experience with 10 twist 243s is that they will not stabilise the 105gr speer spitzer - huge groups.
Allthough 243s will shoot 100s OK you are likely to find 85/90s more accurate and considerably faster.

Chris ParkinI would also say you will need a 9" twist to stabilise the 105's. Anything up to 100 will be fine.

As Seafire says..... This is the way it's worked out for me with a 1/10" twist 6mm/.284, although I never use any bullet under 85 grasins in that rifle.
