fnmauserI've killed 7 deer with a 125 noslers out of my 22" FN 30/06. Longest was measured 260 yards, longest shot I ever tried on a deer. Every deer dropped and only one required a finishing shot. With the bullet built "light" I loaded a "youth" load of 42-45 grains of H4895 to keep velocity reasonable. Very easy on the shoulder and hard on the deer. Accuracy was outsanding, it shot like a varmint rifle. This was on Kentucky whitetails that weigh 170 and under. Largest was the long shot,9 pointer. When he fell down don't know who was more suprised me or him. Good luck! FNMauser

mike_elmerfnmauser,
I'll second your claim of the exceptional accuracy. I never shot a deer with my loading, but I did send many groundhogs to heaven with that load in the 30-o6. That was back in the days before I had "varmint rifles"! I still have a few of those Nosler 125's left...I should load them up again for the fun of it!!!

I experminted with 125 grain bullets in the 30-06 a few times and then went back to my old 180 zeroed at 300 yards and went on hunting. I never did get the 125 as accrute as the 180 in my rifle. Quit wasting my powder and went with what the rifle liked and the deer hated for sure.
