.260 load
Anyone have a killer load for a .260 w/Berger 140 VLD hunting bullets? I have some H4831, H4198, H380 and N110. Will any of these work?

Thanx,

JohnP

Of the powders that you have listed H4831 is your ONLY powder option to load in the 260Rem case.

H4198 & H380 are fast burn rate rifle powders.

V-V N110 is a slow burn rate 357/41/44mag pistol powder.

I've not yet run the Berger in my 260 Rem. I have in my 6.5x47 Lapua and it's a very accurate bullet. The powders that have worked quite well in my 260 Rem and other 140's have been Rel 19, H4350, H4831sc and H1000.

Good luck on your quest.

I have to agree. The 360 running full speed is slightly overbore. Powders in the H4350 & slower range seem to give the best results. I run 7828ssc, H4831sc, H4350 in my 260ai under 140-142gr bullets with terrific accuracy & top vel.
