URP powder in 30-06
Dear Friends:

I have just read the loading data for this powder for 30-06 at the loading page of Norma, (http://www.norma.cc) and the data are impresive (60.5 gr, 3120 ft/s with a 23.5" barrel, it nduplicates the light magnum ammunition without any type of special reloading technique. Have any people real practical experience about these terms?

Sorry...I'm from Wisconsin USa where we bowl, drink beer, golf, shoot, hunt and talk smart.
Went to the website and I can't read it. Do they have any charts in English?

What bullet are they talking about??

I heard they have a new powder but I'm pretty skeptical that there is any "magic" out there.
Many of the published loads that seem so strong are coming from minimum tolerance test barrels.
If it does wind up being for real.....well it will be one hard powder to get your hands on cause everyone will be using it.

Bingo.....and the Packers have a better chance of winning the Superbowl this year than someone coming up with a better powder for the .30-06.

I'll believe it when I see it.

I went to the website, just click on the British flag. Converts the site to English. URP looks like an interesting powder for the 30-06.

i spoke with the people at norma and they said NORMA URP fits in between N 204 and NORMA MRP...they told me it has a higher nitro glycerine content...i think this may be pretty close to the ideal powder for the 06
