Norma vs RWS brass vs accuracy
I was working up loads for my 7x64 Mauser custom and was surprised at the group sizes with only the brass being the wild card. 175gr Speer Grand Slams over 52gr of H-4831 with CCI mag primer. 5 shot groups were 1.5in using the RWS brass and .5in with the Norma brass. No other changes. Is this unusual? Thanks, Bob

I think what you amy find is RWS is a bit "harder" & may need to have the necks annealed vs the Norma which tends to be a bit softer. This is my exp. when using both in 9.3x74R.

Fred, I can tell the RWS is harder, as it takes more effort to full length resize.

No doubt: RWS. These and Lapua have the longest life cycles. But RWS are pricey, mind.
