6mm Rem, range report,With Accurate Reloading info
Saeed and Walter have posted on their reload pages a load for this round that intrigued me.
51 grains of H 414 with a 75 grain VMax, reported a velocity of 3925 and I also noted that it posted their tightest group with this powder.
So I tried it, working up. The load was safe in my rifle.
Here are the results I got
Rifle: Model 700 ADL LA, 30/06 rebarreled to 6mm Rem
Barrel: 24 inch PacNor, heavy sporter barrel, 1 in 8 twist, stainless steel.
Powder: H 414, 51 grains
Bullet: Hornady 75 gr HP,
OAL: 74.76 mm
Case: Rem
Primer: CCI LR
From a cold barrel, velocities started at 3750 and ended up at 3825 as the barrel got warmer.
Should be a flat shooting varmint load. This load was safe in my rifle, which is long throated as it shoots 115 grain Berger match bullets seated out to magazine length.
Work this load up, if you are a rookie or novice especially.
Cheers and good shooting,
Seafire

Oscar MakonkaYou forgot to tell us how it shot. What did it group like?
Oscar,
I still need to head to the range with the rifle and test that out.
I loaded up some more ammo with it, but got sidetracked this afternoon.
I hate work, it always gets in the way.
