ULTRA LITE 308
I am looking for an ultra lite loade for my Encore in 308 for less recoil. Less powder, faster burning. should i use a filler to help fill the case. Going to lighter bullet around 125gr. Thanks for the help.

Speer #10 lists As A Starting Load,
130gr bullet with 23gr IMR 4227. Max 27grs.
150gr bullet with 19grs SR 4759. Max 23 grs.

I like SR 4759 Really soft recoil.

Lyman Pistol And Revolver using Encore,
130gr bullet with 26grs of SR 4759. Max 29.0
130gr bullet with XMP-5744 31grs. Max 33.5

This seems to give me a good starting point for my burn rate on an ultra lite load. I will work with it and see what stays consistant for me.

Thanks, Larry

you can also try some lighter cast boolit loads.
16 grs 2400. with a pistol primer.
9 grs unique.with a pistol primer.
24 grs of h-4895. with a lr primer.
these are about as light as i know of with good ballistics.
