snowcat30-06 AI
I'm trying to diagnose a rifle's accuracy problems and am attempting to isolate variables. I re-scoped it yesterday to a new VX-II, Burris rings, to eliminate the most obvious possibility (didn't work.) Crown looks OK. It had a hack pillar and glass job when I got it used but the contact looks OK and there is no obvious movement--I'm going to try to re-bed next. So...I'm looking for a 30-06AI load that is the equivalent to the 57g 4350 165 30-06 standard "if this don't work, nothin will" load for the AI. If I can standardize the load and dink with the other variables and get the rifle into 2", then I'll play with different load recipes. If anyone knows of a tried and true load for this caliber, I'd love to hear about it. Also if anyone has a beater M70 RH LA stock they want to sell cheap, let me know as that may be the easiest way to dignose things. Thanks, as always.

308SakoI'd strongly recomend 58 graims of IMR 4831, with a 180 Nosler BT, Fed 210 Match primers and anybody decents brass. SD's are always in the single digits and is the best shooting load in my Wiseman 24" BBL - Sako of course.
