Will R25 work in a 24" tube?
I have shot R22 in my 24" 7 Mag but before I try R25 I was just wondering....
Will it work good in a 24" tube or is it more for 26 incher?

Well in the what's it worth department. For 150s and heavier QL says you get 100% burn. You also give up about 50fps between a 26 & 24".

I think Rl22 is a better choice for the 7mag. Just my opinion.

As usual just my $.02

I use it in a .300 Win Mag with a 24" bbl behind 180 grain bullets and find that it is fully satisfactory and performs better than faster powders.

Hey Ted, If you don't have good luck with the "RL" Powders, you might want to try H1000. I've shot a few 8# jugs of it and really like it. Especially for 150gr and 145gr Bullets.

Hard to beat the very old(discontinued) H870 for the 160gr and 175gr Bullets, if you still have any. Only real problem is cleaning the tenacious Residue out of the barrel.

Used IMR-4831 and H4831 for a long time. Just used up some of the remaining IMR-4831 in a 243Win last year. They did OK, but not like H1000.

Never could get consistent accuracy with IMR-7828 or any of the "RL" Powders, but I sure tried.

Best of luck to you.
