Willie BRuger bolt action 44MAG
Can I use standard large rifle primers for this?
Don't want to invest in any pistol primers if I don't have to.

Crazy CledusI would rather use pistol mag. primers, but this is my opinion.

DigitalDanWilly, my GUESS is yes. The primary difference between the two is cup hardness, pistol primers being the softer of the two. Well, you're shooting a rifle so give it a try. REDUCE your load before starting this and you may have a hotter primer when you switct to LRP's.
Have a 77/44 myself, use Li'l Gun and 300 gr. Paper patched lead. Shoots MOA with a Millet Dot sight. Kicks a bit for beginners. Great gun.

Willie BThanks for the replies.
Shot some Win factory 240 soft-points yesterday.
