286 Gr Nosler Partition and / or 286 gr Barnes X both at around 2,400fps from my 9.3x62.

Used them on Whitetail, Impala, Warthog, wouldn't hesitate to go much larger...

286 grains Lapua Mega

Velocity remains unknown the time being.

It took Roe Deer, Wild Boar, Springbok, Kudu and Warthog. I'm perfectly happy with it!

My CZ American the 286 Nosler at 2425 fps has taken whitetails (WV and Texas), Impala, Warthog, Blue Wildebeast, Kudu, and Zebra with spectacular ease. No recovered bullets. I'd only go with a Barnes if hunting something really heavily built.

The little VZ.24 is new to me and it seems to really like the 250 gr Woodleigh. We'll see how they work this fall.

I am currently shooting 286 grain Norma Alaskan bullets and was shooting 285 grain PRVI's until I just ran out. They are both shooting to the same point of impact with the same load which is 60.5 grains of Ramshot Big Game in Graf brass and CCI large rifle primers. I leave for my elk hunt tomorrow and may have a report for you on the performance of the bullets by next week.
I have not tried any of the "premium" bullets for this cartridge yet, my personal feelings are that for Deer, Elk, Moose and Black Bears the plain vanilla bullets should be adequate at the velocities I'm pushing them. I would not use the Barnes X unless I was expecting an extremely difficult critter at close range but that is just me. Nosler partition is a little softer so it may be more useful to me.

286 gr Partition or Barnes
9.3x62
58 gr R903 (RL-15) 2300fps

Roe up to African Plains Game. Works well across that range of critters.

Update on my ever changing opinion nilly
The new Hornady 286gr soft point refuses to shoot larger than one hole groups Wink I believe Hornady has developed a bullet with an insecurity disorder so they'll stay together. Smiler

Hopefully I'll have a report on how they perform on deer sized game later this year.
