Major CaliberWC-846 in .308 Report
I split a 32lb order with a buddy last year, it was $225 shipped. Just tried it for the 1st time today. Setup the chrony and fired some M118 that was made by LC in 1972, got 2597fps, then shot some Hornady TAP 155gr amax, it went 2800, exactly in spec. The gun was a M98 with a 26" Parker Hale barrel. Then loaded some Federal brass with 42.5grs of WC-846, win primer, and a 168gr Hornady at 2.810 oal. Got 2730fps average. This load wasn't close to max, looks like I could easily exceed 2800fps with the WC-846.

bartscheThere are two of us that have been using a lot of WCC 846 for about 9mon. or a yr. It has been giving respectable accuracy in most what we shoot. It has a very distinctive sound compared to other powders. We have been using the recommended loading, that being to follow what is called out for BL-C-2. All pressure indications show no sign of over load at max. recommendations, Just a big Baarruuum.
