cummins cowboyanyone shoot the .277 135grn match king???
I was wondering if anyone has had any luck with these match bullets from their 270's the bullet has a pretty steep boat tail so it requires a little deeper seating than most bullet and may be a ways away from the lands on many guns, if the throat is cut out a ways

DocIf I recall, I did some years ago. The 130 Nosler Btip grouped a lot better.
I could not get the Sierra to group better than 1" at 100. I did not try a lengthy experiment though.
Once I try 3-4 different powders/charges, seating depths, I'm done.

cummins cowboyjust sent an email to berger bullets and they answered back that there will be a full line of .277 VLD bullets coming out soon, can't wait for that, it should bring the 270 caliber to the long range level its always deserved. but could not obtain because of lack of suitable long range bullets

DocYes, I spoke with Berger back in the summer about the same thing. I asked them since they are now advertising their bullets as "hunting" bullets, are they planning on doing a respectable full line up, including the 270.
Like you, they told me that the plan was to have them available by summer 2008.
If you want some excellent bullets NOW without waiting, why don't you order some Wildcat bullets from Richard Graves in Alberta? They are just as good if not better.
