.260 Rem
Dad and I just spent the greater part of 6hrs putting together his new toy, a
.260 Rem based on one of those winchester military push feeds. Anybody body know of any good loads for it using 140 gr HPBTs?

Dan, winchester made target rifles, 300 meter jobs (during their post '64 push feed days) for the Army. they may have also beenutilized for a short while for some sort of sniper use, although don't quote me on that. it's one of the odder configurations from winchester. It's a short action, when they didn't make short actions, it just has more metal a the breech so only .308 winchester length cases could fit.
Obviously the original chambering was for the .308win. by the way, they're still out there....

ratgunr, thanx i'll make sure he gets it.
