CFE 223 powder
Has anyone tried the Hodgdon CFE 223 powder?
I can't find it any place locally. The write up and the velocity's listed it their new magazine look good but I don't want to pay haz mat fees to order thru the mail.

Thinking about it for my .223 rifles and also in the .308's

I am using it one of my 8x57's with the 180 gr BT. It does run clean as advertised. The combo went to Africa last month and did a bit of hunting. I didn't have time to run the chronograph but by their data it is a very good match for the round.

Works well in both the 204 Ruger and the 223. I haven`t tried it in the 223 with any but the 52gr Nosler though so I cant speak as to how it does with heavier or lighter bullets.

Have loaded up 60gr Nosler BT for my AR.

Using 26.5 gr CFE. Accuracy very good, but have not chronoed it yet.

It is getting very good results in the Grendel and is one of the better powders for that case. Information is on the Grendel forums.

I've tried it in a 223. Thus far, it has been OK but not spectacular accuracy wise but maybe I haven't found the right bullet combination yet. I have yet to determine if the barrel stays cleaner while using it.

I use it in my stag. It doesnt copper foul. You still have powder foul. I shoot 69 gr. sierras about 1.5 at 100.
