Hot day range results ( over 100 degrees)

  • 22-250, set back action,14g. Blue Dot, FC cases and primers, A&B barrel.
  • 45g. HP-RN, oal= 2.270", clean, mild, EZ bolt handle lift, 2574 to 2640 fps. 2" group @ 50 yds.
  • 40g. Balistic tip Nosler, oal=2.430", clean, mild, EZ lift. 2766 to 2786 fps. 4 shot 1" group @ 50 yds.
  • 52g. HP-FB. Berger, oal=2.425", mild, clean, EZ lift, 2445 to 2530 fps., 5 shot 1" group at 50 yds.

  • Same, 12g. SR 7625,
  • 45g. HP-RN., oal=2.270", Mild, clean EZ lift, 2427 to 2463 fps., 3.5" group @ 50 yds.
  • 40g., Bal Tip Nosler, oal=2.430", Clean, Mild EZ lift. 2529 to 2587 fps. not great.
  • 52g. FB-HP Berger, oal= 2.345", Mild, Clean EZ lift, 2257 to 2313 FPS.,SoSo.

  • .223, 55g. Varmint Nite Mare MS., 22.5g. Data 2200, PMP cases, wsr primers, crimped.
  • NEW Ruger #1, 3149 to 3257 fps. 3 shot 3/4" group at 50 yds.
  • Repaired accutrigger ,Savage 12vbss-s, 3174 to 3203 fps. Great accuracy.
  • Same , 28.2gr. WCC846, nny cases, CCI mag primers, crimped, Savage 12vbss-s, 3525 to 3558 fps., LEAD COLORED COMET TAILS, 10 shot .6" group @ 50 yds.

    I shoot at the inland fish and gamr range by sbdoo, and it was so hot last week, my barrels never cooled off. 15 minutes after shooting 4 or 5 .30-06 rounds, barrel was still too hot to hold on to. I wonder why the vertical stringing was so bad Confused Eeker
