DigitalDanDon't have a favorite but Lyman's 47th lists:
26.5 gr IMR 3031 w/ 110 gr FMJ for 2085 fps
28.0 gr IMR 4320 for 2044 fps.
Danny,
We must think alike. I shoot this all the time.
110 gr RN. I like IMR 4198.
RL 7 will give a velocity of almost 3,000 fps in a 24 inch barreled Winchester Model 94.

<BigBob>Danny,
The Speer 110 grain jacketed hollow point Varminter bullet is a lot of fun in a .30-30. Can be loaded to 2500/2600 fps. W-748 is a pretty good powder for this, Good luck.

I love reading posts like yours after reading some of the other ones when guys swear you need a 300 Mag to kill anything bigger than a skunk.
Just to break the boredom when one is really connecting with Prairie Dogs I love to bring along a Winchester 94 with a 24 inch barrel I have. I mount a 6x Weaver scope on it and shoot at PDogs with this.
It attracks attention from other shooters and they actually like to play with the challenge.
I load up a 100 Rounds or so.
It makes it more of a challenge and adds a lot of fun to the day.
