Thanks for the reply, I did try 57 and 59 gr of Varget with the Sierra. Groups weren't outstanding, but not bad either. Around an inch and a quarter for 5 shots at 100 yards. I just loaded up 11 rounds each of 57 grains of IMR-4895 with the Speer 90 gr TNT and the Sierra 90 gr HP. Hopefully I can test them at the range tomorrow. Any other suggestions?

I had the best results with Varget under 90 grain Sierra HPs. I don't have access to my load notes right now, so I can't provide the charge.

I have searched for some loads for the .270WSM using the 90 gr Sierras and Speer TNT's, but I was hoping for some real world experience. I currently have a few powders on hand, namely IMR-4895, Varget, Accurate 4350 and Vihtavuori N-165. I was thinking of trying Varget to start out. Or is there a better powder that I dont have? I figure the N-165 is too slow for the light bullet, Speer lists loads for their 100 gr HP with both IMR-4895 and Varget. Others list loads with various 4350 loads (IMR, Hodgdon, and Accurate). I sometimes wonder if maybe I should just buy an 8 lb keg of IMR or H-4350 and use it for all my loads in my .270WSM and my 6.5x55. It would be less complicated, although probably not as accurate. Appreciate any input.
