It was posted where the 450 ackley could safely get
2450 fps from a 24" barrel.I have a 458 lott which is
supposed to be the same cartridge.This is with a 500gr
softpoint or solid.Does anyone have loading info that will
get this velocity.I have a ruger #1 which is supposed to be
a strong action.

However, I don't guarantee you'll get that velocity or the strength of your ruger....

I think you will get closer to 2300 fps with the lott and a 500 gr woodleigh. That is about what my cz lott is running at and I reckon that load would take any thing on the planet.

I actually aminterested to hear what others may get with the 550 gr woodleigh actually.
